Why we went to Spokane, Washington

A quick two nights in Spokane, Washington before making our way to Portland for the month because we wanted to get somewhere and settle down before Mike starts his new job! We chose to stay at Spokane WA for a couple nights, not only because it was our half way point to Portland but also because we wanted to go shopping for our soon to be new home on wheels! We went to downtown for a quick brunch and scoot around in the morning before we headed to check out the Riverstone Rvs!

We have been talking a lot about this nomad lifestyle and how much we love it and want to continue! We love everything about it and we hope to inspire more people to get out there and follow their dreams! We spent countless nights researching before hitting the road and all of that research has definitely paid off. One thing we learned as we have been on the road is that there are so many different floor plans in RVs to choose from. As we’ve navigated these past 7 months we have constructed a list of must haves & nice to haves for our next rig. Mike has spent countless nights once again doing research on so many models, floor plans and layouts. We finally found our new home!

The next challenge was how do we get our hands on one?! With the nomad lifestyle booming and with Covid shutting down so many jobs, the inventory for RVs are at an ultimate low. We would have to order one, which meant we’d have to commit to it before ever seeing it, being inside it and really getting a good feeling of what we’re getting ourselves into. Thankfully, Mike was able to find a very similar floor plan in the same make and model that we wanted at a dealership in Spokane! The rig we saw had a front kitchen vs the one we want has a front living room. The bedroom, bath, garage was all pretty much identical to the one we wanted so it was really good for us to go check that one out to really get a good feel for what we’re getting ourselves into.

We fell in love instantly again after seeing the similar model in person and we put in an order for our brand new 2022 Forest River Riverstone Legacy 37FLTH! With the new rig we will have two queen pull out beds for our guest, we will have a separate living space, separate kitchen space and an outdoor garage that we can truly use for storage. We will lose a half bath but gain a full size shower, poor Mike has been showering in a tiny shower for months now! It comes with a stackable washer/dryer, full residential fridge with an ice maker!! I will have a dishwasher! Omgoodness if you guys only knew what life is like without one! And we will not only have the garage for storage but also so much under belly storage space as well! We didn’t realize how much storage space we’d need. We also didn’t realize how important it would be to have a large living area. This new rig will also have full body paint, better insulation and built more durable for full-time living. With the new rig, I can definitely see us hosting more family and friends in a much more comfortable space. It will also give Mike and I some much needed space on a daily basis as well! It will take a few months before our new home will be built and ready to be picked up! We are so excited for our new home on wheels!

Here is a YouTube video I found online that resembles what our new rig will look like. This is a 2021.5, not sure what that means or what differences we’ll see in our 2022 if any, but woah mama, I’m a happy girl!
