Quartzsite, AZ 2022 RV Show

Back to our first destination, Quartzsite Arizona! Last year when we first left home for our adventures, our first boon-docking location was at Roadrunner BLM camping grounds. This year we stayed right down the street from there, at La Paz Valley RV Park to enjoy all the full hookups and amenities. We went there specifically for the Quartzsite RV Show and stayed there for about two weeks.

We made our way to the RV show a couple times during the week during our lunch breaks and of course over the weekend, to check out all the different venders that show up to sell all the RV related things. My favorite part of the show of course is the food! The World’s Best Corndogs Love Truck made its way to the show and oh my, they really do have the world’s best corndogs! They sell them by the footlong, they have a delicious crisp to the outer shell with a perfect corn breading around an all beef dog. YUM! Yes, we absolutely came back for more! I also had to make sure to try it with honey, as Steph mentioned to me when she saw my story on IG that it was a must try. Thank you miss Stephanie for that tip, it was delicious!! We also enjoyed some yummy Mexican food, Ice Cream and even found some Boba at the show.

There was also a Gem show that was open right next to the RV show. We spent some time wandering around there to check out all the beautiful rocks and in one of the stores, we saw a wolf! He was on a leash and was calm and well mannered, but nonetheless, he was a big huge wolf in the store! Of course I had to go ask a few questions and pet him. His name is Journey and he has his own Instagram. I am still just shocked that we got to pet a wolf! Oh the fun random things we have bumped into along this adventure of ours, I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

We bumped into The Flipping Nomad at the RV Show! She is an IG influencer that I’ve been following since the start of our travels. She is a Keystone Montana girl who lives full time on the road all on her own. She has a renovation business and prides herself in her beautiful work; transforming the boring, old, run-down designs in RVs into modern, bright, functional homes that everyone desires to have. Meeting her at the show was a blast. She was there to show off her own personal rig that she designed, renovated and owns. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with her and was such a treat to see her own personal rig!

We did some shopping around at the RV show, but didn’t really buy much. Mostly we were thankful to gather useful information that we will be using for our new rig that we’ll be picking up soon! Mike got a lot of questions answered, and met some great people who will hopefully get us some great rates on the upcoming projects I know he already has up his sleeve. After seeing a few rigs at the show, I am so happy that we still are very happy with our ordered Riverstone. There were a few rigs that teased us with the floor-plans, and Mike fell in love with some of the under belly storage, but overall we are definitely still very excited for the one on order. 🙂

Overall our stay at La Paz Valley RV Park was a good one! Although the weather is colder than we’re used to, the Arizona sun kept us nice and warm during the sunny, bright days. We enjoyed a few cold nights out by the campfire with our fellow RV Park neighbors. Overall, a great short two weeks in Quartzsite!

Next Destination…one night in Flagstaff and then off to Moab Utah!
